A drone show with 300 drones, produced in collaboration with Wells Be, was held at the “Beppu Christmas Fantasia 2024” (hosted by the Winter Festival Executive Committee) in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, on December 21 (Sat.) and 22 (Sun.), 2024.
Beppu Christmas Fantasia 2024, held in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, celebrated the 100th anniversary of Beppu City’s municipal organization in 2024, and was more powerful than previous years, with approximately 20,000 fireworks launched over two days and a drone show held for the first time.

The show started with a sphere changing into the shape of the earth.

The festival featured Beppu City’s 100th anniversary logo, motifs symbolizing Beppu such as the Ougiyama Fire Festival and bamboo crafts, and the words of Beppu Mayor’s motto, “Too much is just right”.

Along with Christmas music, the program presented a unique fusion of the charms of Beppu, a hot spring resort, and Christmas, including a snowflake design with a hot spring symbol and a Santa Claus with a hot spring symbol on his belt buckle.
