Interactive Cherry Blossom Viewing Event "Sakurarium"

WORKS

Up to 2,000 drones painting “cherry blossoms in full bloom” across the night sky

“Sakurarium,” a drone show event hosted by Redcliff.
It was held as a one-night-only, interactive cherry blossom viewing event that fused a drone show with participatory elements.

The biggest feature of this event was the night-time cherry blossom display created by up to 2,000 drones.
The cherry blossoms painted by the drones spread across the entire night sky on an overwhelming scale—roughly 150m tall, 230m wide, and 70m deep—drawing visitors into the magical world of “Sakurarium.”

By providing a three-dimensional and immersive spectacle that traditional cherry blossom viewing cannot match, we delivered a brand-new spring entertainment experience.

A two-part drone show featuring 500 and 2,000 drones

The drone show was presented in two parts.

In the opening show, 500 drones added vibrant colors to the arrival of spring, while the main special show featured 2,000 drones painting a massive cherry blossom across the night sky.

From the delicate depiction of scattering cherry blossom petals to dynamic displays that enveloped the entire space, the show delivered a three-dimensional visual experience unique to drones.

The venue offered an “experiential cherry blossom viewing” with a magical atmosphere created by glowing cherry blossom cups.
Visitors also enjoyed interactive elements, such as raising a toast with the cherry blossom viewing supporter “Sakura-chan,” participating in a stamp rally campaign, and receiving original event items.

Furthermore, a surprise wedding proposal took place during the event, making it a truly memorable night for many visitors as a special moment that lit up the spring sky.

Creating a brand-new event experience through a massive drone show

At Redcliff, we provide spatial design through drone shows for all kinds of settings, including events, tourism, regional revitalization, and commercial facilities.
The giant pictogram display showcased in the first part is expected to be utilized as aerial signage across a wide variety of scenes in the future.

We will continue to dedicate ourselves to creating brand-new experiential value by fusing technology and entertainment.
