– Sharing the Potential of Drone Shows as a “New Method for Attracting Visitors to Local Regions” –

Red Cliff Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Komei Sasaki; hereinafter “Red Cliff”), a company specializing in the planning and operation of drone shows, will co-host the “Drone Show Seminar in Gunma for Local Governments and Tourism Organizations” with Trust Creative Corporation (Head office: Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture; Representative Director: Shuichi Hinozawa; hereinafter “Trust Creative Corporation”). The seminar will be held over two days, November 4 (Tue) and 5 (Wed), 2025, in Shinto Village, Gunma Prefecture.

Background on Seminar and Performance History in Gunma Prefecture

Red Cliff, in partnership with Trust Creative Corporation and the Drone Industry Safety Operations Association, successfully executed a 300-drone show—the first in the event’s history—at the 12th Numata Fireworks Festival held in Numata City, Gunma Prefecture, in September 2024. This performance generated significant public interest as a regional event.

Drone shows are currently drawing national attention as a new way to enhance tourism and regional events. The light art created by hundreds or even thousands of drones in the night sky has a high virality factor on social media, creating a compelling “reason to visit” for a wide range of demographics, from youth to families.

There is growing expectation that these innovative experiential contents can serve as a new method for boosting regional economies by having a large ripple effect on sectors like accommodation, dining, and transportation. This, in turn, contributes to the improvement of regional branding and the creation of sustainable tourism demand.

This seminar is positioned as part of the Gunma Prefecture Proof-of-Concept Field Utilization Project. Based on the operational track record of both companies, the seminar will specifically introduce implementation costs, economic effects, and collaboration models with local governments. Targeted at representatives from local governments, tourism associations, and commerce groups, the seminar aims to share the potential of drone shows, alongside the latest trends, as a “new method for attracting visitors to local regions.”

Two-Part Program Focusing on Regional Revitalization through Drone Shows

The seminar will be conducted as a two-part program, consisting of a “Lecture Seminar” and a “50-Drone Demo Flight.”
