Creating a New Summer Night Tradition in Tokyo

Showa Memorial Park is one of Tokyo’s premier natural settings, offering unobstructed, wide-open views of the night sky, highlighted by its vast “Everyone’s Field” (Minna no Harappa). The park has long been a beloved destination for stargazing, having previously hosted special summer night openings such as the “Starry Sky Walk” (Hoshizora Sanpo).

Staged in this lush, nature-rich environment, the upcoming event will showcase an immersive nighttime entertainment experience that leverages the park’s signature sense of openness. It seamlessly integrates drone shows, fireworks, lanterns, dynamic light displays, music, and gourmet food.

Beyond just a moment of looking up at the night sky, the festival invites visitors to stroll through the park, savor delicious food, and enjoy quality time on a summer evening with their loved ones. Through this fresh summer experience, the event aims to unlock new appeal for the Tachikawa area’s nightlife, contributing to local community revitalization and tourism promotion.

Concept

Look up—there are stars (dreams) waiting for you.

For decades, the majestic Zelkova tree has stood here, watching over generations of smiles.

Now, the light resting within its leaves soars into the night sky, transforming into countless stars.

The glow of drones, the sparkle of fireworks, the smiles on people’s faces— On this night, everyone becomes a shining star in the sky.

With family. With a partner. With friends. Looking up at the exact same sky, sharing the exact same moment with those you hold dear.

Every single emotion becomes light, and every light becomes a star.

This summer, come to the place in Tokyo closest to the stars.

★ Starlight Sparkler Square

A hands-on activity area where you can safely enjoy handheld fireworks with your family and friends in a dedicated space. Offering a different charm from the grand fireworks blooming in the night sky, the gentle glow right in your hands will beautifully color your summer memories with your loved ones.

* An admission ticket to the dedicated area is required.
