Redcliff Inc. Throughout the entire 184-day duration of the Expo, a 1,000-drone show will be presented daily as the main content of the Expo Association’s official program, ‘One World, One Planet.’
On April 13 (Sunday), the first day of the event, a special large-scale drone show with 2,500 drones was held, successfully breaking the Guinness World Record™ of “Largest aerial display of a tree formed by multirotors/drones”.

This drone show will be the main content of the “One World, One Planet.” event organized by the Japan Association for the International Exposition, 2025. Through a spectacular fusion of light, sound, and technology, the show will offer a new experience that connects the Expo site and the world both in real and digital terms under the theme of “Wish.”
On the first day of the opening ceremony, 2,500 drones were used for special effects, including fireworks and a flash module that boasts six times the brightness of conventional LED lights. It was the embodiment of a “show of the future in the sky. ” The audience naturally cheered and applauded, and many commented on social networking sites that they were “drawn in,” “The drone show at the Expo was amazing,” and “I was impressed by the future of art floating freely through the air. ” The night sky at the Expo 2025 was decorated in a spectacular manner on the first day of the Expo.
Guinness World Record™ for “Largest aerial display of a tree formed by multirotors/drones”
REDCLIFF is challenging Guinness World Records™ in two categories: “Largest aerial display of a tree formed by multirotors/drones” and “Most multirotors/drones launched in one year” during Expo 2025, Osaka, Kansai, Japan (including preparation period).
On April 13 (Sunday), the first day of the show, the drones took on the record challenge despite the inclement weather and used 1,749 drones 。 of 2,500 drones to depict the visual of a giant “tree” in the night sky. The result of the judging was officially certified as a Guinness World Record™.
Attempt to break additional records during the Expo
The drone show will be held every day through October 13 (Monday, national holiday), the closing day of the Expo, as part of the official Expo program ‘One World, One Planet.’ The event also aims to establish a Guinness World Record™ in the category of ‘Most multirotors/drones launched in one year’ by accumulating the number of drones flown during the period (including the preparation period).
