REDCLIFF produced a unique and heartwarming show combining Beppu, a hot spring resort, and Christmas, using 300 drones.
(Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Komei Sasaki; hereinafter “Red Cliff”), a company that plans and operates drone shows, held a special drone show at “Beppu Christmas Fantasia 2024” (hosted by the Winter Festival Executive Committee) in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture on December 21 (Sat) and 22 (Sun), 2024. Christmas Drone Show filled with Beppu’s unique atmosphere
The Beppu Christmas Fantasia was launched by the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Beppu (JCI) about 30 years ago, and this year’s event was scaled up to celebrate Beppu’s 100th anniversary. 20,000 fireworks were launched over two days, and a drone show opened the event in spectacular fashion.
The special drone show was co-produced by Red Cliff and Wells Be, Inc. 300 drones soared into the night sky, creating a series of animations featuring the Beppu City Government 100th Anniversary logo, the Ogiyama Fire Festival, and other motifs. The audience was also thrilled by the Christmas bells that turned into shiny hearts and spiraled to become the top ornament of the tree that emerged, and a playful finale that changed “thank you” to “Thank you”.
