On Saturday, November 16, 2024, the largest* drone show in Yamanashi Prefecture with 1,000 drones was held at the “Winter Night Sparkling Sky in Yamanakako” in Yamanakako Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. The event featured approximately 4,000 fireworks, a fire and light performance by KAGUZUCHI, and a spectacular drone show that captivated the audience.
The drone show was divided into two parts, an opening and an ending, each with a different theme.
The opening drone show took advantage of the fact that Lake Yamanakako looks like a whale when viewed from the sky to create a production that transformed the silhouette of the lake into a giant whale. The show also included a presentation of “Houtou,” a local gourmet food, to convey the unique charm of Yamanakako Village. In the last part of the show, a white dragon named after the legend of Lake Yamanakako made a powerful appearance, and the audience cheered as soon as the drone began to move.
The ending drone show was a fantastic representation of the natural beauty of Lake Yamanakako and Mt. Colorful lights colored the night sky, creating a dynamic performance that made for a special evening.
