The 43rd Yokohama Port Opening Festival, held every June since 1981 to celebrate the opening of the Port of Yokohama, attracted a total of approximately 500,000 visitors over the two days of June 1 (Saturday) and 2 (Sunday), 2024.
Red Cliff held the first drone show in the history of Yokohama Port Opening Festival at the 41st Yokohama Port Opening Festival in 2022. For the 43rd Yokohama Port Opening Festival, a record 1,000 drones were used to celebrate the opening of the Port of Yokohama, creating a series of motifs including dolphins, whales, and other sea creatures, ships, divers swimming in the sea, and the cityscape of Yokohama. The “anchor” motif associated with the Port of Yokohama and the text “Yokohama Port Opening Festival Thanks to the Port 2024” were painted on the drones, which colored the night sky of Yokohama for about 20 minutes.
