REDCLIFF Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Koumei Sasaki), a company specializing in the planning and operation of drone shows, will produce the “DIG SHIBUYA DG DRONE SHOW,” part of the “DIG SHIBUYA 2025” art and technology festival to be held from Saturday, February 8 to Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The drone show will take place in the skies above the Shibuya area on one of the evenings during the event (Note 1).

Drones Light Up the Shibuya Night Sky

Since 2021, REDCLIFF has produced drone shows with fleets ranging from 300 to 2,025 drones across Japan. In addition to revitalizing local communities, the company has made several groundbreaking achievements, including launching Japan’s first drones equipped with fireworks (Note 2) and collaborating with High Great Innovation Technology Development Co., Ltd. in Shenzhen, China to set a Guinness World Record™ for “largest aerial display” using 7,998 drones (Note 3).

For this production, REDCLIFF will collaborate with Digital Garage, Inc. (TSE Prime: 4819; Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & Group CEO: Kaoru Hayashi), and the SHIBUYA CREATIVE TECH Executive Committee to present a grand nighttime entertainment experience that blends technology and art. Further details will be announced at a later date.

REDCLIFF is an alumnus of Digital Garage’s accelerator program “Open Network Lab” (Onlab), 25th cohort (2022), and was also selected for the second cohort of “S-Startups,” a certification initiative by the Shibuya Startup Deck public-private consortium in 2024 (Note 4). This project also stands as a testament to the success of public-private initiatives supporting startups.
