Matsue Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The Matsue Suigo Festival Lake Fireworks Festival, one of the largest fireworks displays on a lake in Japan, was held on Lake Shinji in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. 21,000 fireworks, 10,000 on Saturday, August 3 and 11,000 on Sunday, August 4, were launched, and a special program included a drone show with 500 drones.
In 2024, the first year the festival was held in Shimane Prefecture, animated motifs associated with Shimane Prefecture and Matsue were depicted on the lake at night.
