Policy-Linked Drone Show Conducted in Betsukai Town During Winter
A drone show was held at the winter event “BETSUKAI SNOW & GLOW 2025,” which took place over three days from February 7 to 9, 2026, in Betsukai Town, Hokkaido.
This initiative aimed to create a winter tradition that town residents could take pride in, while fostering local pride, expanding the visitor population, and promoting relocation. It also served as a “showroom-style event” to experimentally introduce policies planned for rollout from fiscal 2026 onward.
Red Cliff participated as part of a demonstration experiment.
During the show, a QR code was displayed in the night sky, allowing visitors to scan it on the spot and receive 1,000 OTOMONO AA (Age-Age) points.
This case study demonstrated how a drone show can be utilized not just as a performance, but as interactive media connecting regional initiatives with attendees.
