Red Cliff Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Komei Sasaki; hereinafter “Red Cliff”), a company that plans and operates drone shows, conducted drone shows over a two-day period during the “45th Yokohama Port Festival” held on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

This marks the third time Red Cliff has performed at the Yokohama Port Festival, returning after a two-year hiatus. Once again this year, many visitors enjoyed the special spectacle coloring Yokohama’s night sky.

After the event title was drawn across the night sky, marine life such as sea turtles, stingrays, and dreamily drifting jellyfish were shown gracefully swimming through the Yokohama night sky. Penguins also made an appearance, looking as if they were actually flying through the air, captivating the visitors at the venue.

Next, “Tunk Tunk,” the official mascot character of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2027 (GREEN×EXPO 2027)—which will be held in Yokohama from March 19 to September 26, 2027—appeared in the night sky, drawing the attention of many visitors.

A surprise performance featuring “Detective Conan: The Fallen Angel of the Highway” was held exclusively on Day 1

On the June 1st (Monday) drone show, a surprise performance during the ending featured animations from the movie “Detective Conan: The Fallen Angel of the Highway,” which is currently in theaters.

This special performance was made possible because the movie is set in the Yokohama area, bringing surprised cheers from the venue as many visitors looked up at the night sky and enjoyed the spectacle.

On Day 2, a special program was presented to bring the world of the movie “Toy Story 5” to life.

On the June 2nd (Tuesday) drone show, a special program capturing the world of Disney and Pixar’s latest movie, “Toy Story 5″—which hits theaters on Friday, July 3, 2026—was presented during the opening, courtesy of JCB Co., Ltd., the company handling the tie-in promotion for the film.

Cheers and gasps of surprise from the visitors

During the show, visitors could be seen stopping in their tracks to gaze up at the night sky each time a new drone animation came to life.

Each time a character appeared, the voices of people calling out their names could be heard, and during the scenes where the marine life swam through the night sky, cheers of “So cute!” arose, showing how the entire venue came together to enjoy the show. Furthermore, many visitors held up their smartphones and cameras to capture every single moment of the performance.

Comment from Komei Sasaki, CEO of Red Cliff Inc.

“We are deeply honored to have conducted our third drone show at the 45th Yokohama Port Festival, returning after a two-year hiatus.

This year, under the theme of a ‘flying aquarium,’ we illustrated marine life symbolizing the sea of Yokohama across the night sky. We were also able to deliver a rich variety of content uniquely tailored to this location, including special collaborations with the films ‘Detective Conan: The Fallen Angel of the Highway’ and ‘Toy Story 5,’ as well as the appearance of ‘Tunk Tunk,’ the official mascot character of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2027.

At the venue, we saw many families smiling together and friends cheering as they looked up at the night sky. We are incredibly happy to have embodied our mission: ‘Bringing surprise and emotion to the night sky.’

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came to watch, as well as to all the partners and staff who made this event possible.”
