— First-Ever Drone Show at the Tachikawa Festival Fireworks Event, with 500 Drones Lighting Up the Night Sky on July —
REDCLIFF Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Koumei Sasaki), a company specializing in the planning and operation of drone shows, will direct and produce a 500-drone performance at the Tachikawa Festival Fireworks Show at Showa Kinen Park, to be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
The show celebrates the launch of “Schau Essen® Fireworks,” a limited-time summer product from Nippon Ham Co., Ltd. This marks the first drone show ever held as part of this long-running fireworks festival.
Bringing the World of “Schau Essen® Fireworks” to Life in the Night Sky with 500 Drones
“Schau Essen® Fireworks,” a coarsely ground sausage product manufactured and sold by Nippon Ham Co., Ltd., is a limited-edition summer item known for its signature “crispy snap” and bold, spicy flavor—featuring black pepper and a blend of other spices.
To commemorate the launch of this new flavor—seven years in the making from concept to release—a drone show inspired by fireworks will be held in conjunction with an actual fireworks festival.
The event will take place during the Tachikawa Festival Fireworks Show at Showa Kinen Park, a tradition dating back to 1954. While deeply rooted in the local community, the festival continues to embrace new forms of visual expression—and this will be the first-ever drone show in its history.
REDCLIFF will use 500 drones to dynamically and delicately illustrate elements of the Schau Essen® Fireworks world in the night sky, including its distinctive sausage shape and signature “crispy snap” texture, brought to life through expressive aerial animation.
The drone show is scheduled to take place before the fireworks, starting at 7:15 PM for approximately 15 minutes above the Undō Hiroba (Sports Field area) of Showa Kinen Park.
We invite you to enjoy a truly unforgettable summer evening.
