– A Story of Nagano’s Winter Scenery Woven by 500 Lights –
Red Cliff Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Komei Sasaki; hereinafter “Red Cliff”), a company specializing in the planning and operation of drone shows, will execute a special drone show using 500 drones at the “119th Nagano Ebisu-ko Fireworks Festival” (Organizer: Nagano Chamber of Commerce and Industry) to be held on Sunday (Holiday), November 23, 2025. Following high praise last year, Red Cliff will again handle the production this year, building excitement for the fireworks display.
Animation Composition Depicting Nagano’s Symbols
The drone show will express the prefecture’s renowned landmarks and attractions through an approximately 15-minute animation. This includes Nagano Prefecture’s high-quality snow, known as “powder snow” and beloved by skiers worldwide, and the Hakuba Jump Stadium, which generated numerous emotional moments during the world sports event in 1998.
Due to cold air masses arriving earlier than usual this year, snowfall is already being observed within the prefecture. This drone show, featuring Nagano’s winter scenery as its motif, is designed to allow visitors to feel the “arrival of winter” and the “distinctive Nagano atmosphere” even more profoundly.
500 Lights Illuminating the Winter Night Sky
The drone show is scheduled to be held for approximately 15 minutes, starting at 5:30 PM, just before the fireworks display. The precise formation and light production by 500 drones will transform the entire venue into a magical atmosphere.
Red Cliff will continue to create entertainment that depicts regional attractions in the night sky and shares emotion with the audience.

About the Nagano Ebisu-ko Fireworks Festival
The “Ebisu-ko” festival of Nishinomiya Shrine in Iwaishi-cho, Nagano City, is a traditional annual event bustling with many visitors who pray for business prosperity, abundant harvests, and good fortune. In 1899 (Meiji 32), the “Nagano City Fireworks Festival” (later renamed the Ebisu-ko Fireworks Festival) was initiated with the aim of promoting local commerce and industry. Today, the Nagano Ebisu-ko Fireworks Festival is cherished as one of the few fireworks festivals held in November nationwide.
The massive shakudama shell bursts and powerful music starmines that unfold across the clear late autumn night sky are so spectacular that fireworks critics have praised them as a “must-see event.”
