– A Christmas Miracle Woven from Light and Sound Appears in the Kobe Night Sky–
Redcliffe Co., Ltd., which plans and operates drone shows, will perform the 500-drone show “Kobe Meriken Xmas Drone Show ―Light of Hope and Light of the Sea―” at the “Kobe Meriken Christmas 〜Light of Hope and Light of the Sea〜” event (hosted by the “Kobe Minato no Yoru” Executive Committee). This event will take place over six days, from Saturday, December 20, to Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Meriken Park in Kobe.
The “Kobe Meriken Christmas” which drew a total of 150,000 visitors and was highly praised last year, will be rebranded and scaled up this year as “Kobe Meriken Christmas” The event is designed to allow visitors to experience the unique winter charm of Kobe, with enhancements such as an expanded food area and a light-up area harmonizing with the port scenery.
Redcliffe will host the 500-drone show twice every night during the event (at 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM). Utilizing the clear winter air, the drones will paint Christmas symbols such as snowflakes, glowing trees, and Santa Claus across the night sky. We will deliver a magical moment where light and sound intertwine against the backdrop of Kobe’s sea and night view.
Redcliffe’s Expanding Drone Show Track Record in the Kobe/Kansai Area
Redcliffe has executed multiple drone shows in the Kansai region, pursuing “aerial performances” that resonate with the local nightscapes and culture.
In Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, we have consistently built up initiatives staged in the Kobe night sky, including the countdown drone show held in collaboration with the year-end/New Year event “Kobe Illuminage,” which involved challenging ourselves with one of the largest-scale productions in Japan.
In addition, we participated in the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan as a Platinum Partner for the Association-planned events, where we managed the operation of large-scale drone shows involving approximately 1,000 drones nightly, promoting “aerial entertainment” from Kansai to the world.
Leveraging this experience in Kansai, we will present a Christmas drone show at this event that is uniquely integrated with Kobe’s night view and seaside location, offering a spectacle that can only be seen here.
