– Realized through the support of over 1,870 people and more than 29 million yen –
Red Cliff Inc., a specialist in drone show planning and operations, sponsored “EXPO2025 Futures Festival,” the first event in the “EXPO2025 Futures” memorial series organized by the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition.
On Sunday, April 12, 2026, the company performed a special, one-night-only version of the “One World, One Planet.” drone show at the Momijigawa Grass Square in Expo ’70 Commemorative Park (Suita City, Osaka).
On the day of the event, 3,000 drones soared through the Osaka night sky in a massive performance, depicting a giant Myaku-Myaku and the Grand Roof (Ring).
The display captivated the many visitors who gathered at the venue.
Bringing the memories of the Expo back to life: the lights of that day rising once again into the night sky

It has been one year since the opening of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Using 3,000 drones, we recreated the “One World, One Planet.” drone show—the special performance originally presented on the Expo’s closing day (October 13, 2025)—in the night sky once more.
The display, which evoked vivid memories of the Expo, was met with an enthusiastic response from the audience.
Additionally, the “Giant Myaku-Myaku,” which became a sensation as a surprise appearance on the Expo’s closing day, emerged once again in the night sky.
Myaku-Myaku made its first appearance in six months (formed by 2,003 drones, measuring approximately 210m high × 180m wide × 65m deep), calling out to the crowd in a friendly Kansai dialect: “Hey everyone! It’s been way too long!” This heartwarming moment brought a true sense of unity to the venue.
Furthermore, Myaku-Myaku presented a surprise performance by depicting the Grand Roof (Ring) with drones, conveying the heartfelt wish for everyone to “remember the memories of those days.”
The Grand Roof (Ring), recreated using 425 drones (measuring approximately 45m high × 342m wide × 36m deep), was presented as a performance inspired by the Expo’s most iconic architectural landmark.
A new form of expression realized at the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park
This time, the event took place at the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, the historic site of the 1970 World Exposition (Osaka Expo).
The drone show, which originally unfolded at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, made its return to the historic “Expo grounds,” bridging the gap between eras.
Since the original Expo site (Yumeshima) is being dismantled following the closing of the event, the show was held at a new location.
By using drones to depict the Grand Roof (Ring), we reconstructed the iconic architecture of the Osaka-Kansai Expo in the night sky.
As a performance held at a location that symbolizes Expo history, it served as a bridge connecting the past, present, and future.
A three-dimensional night sky performance, where the light expands
The approximately 14-minute show combined precise drone light displays with flashes from strobe modules—which are about six times brighter than standard LED lights—along with dynamic performances from drones equipped with fireworks.

As each individual drone flickered, expanded, and shifted its shape, the venue was enveloped in a wave of loud cheers from the audience.
From “watching” to “participating”: A night made possible by crowdfunding
This show was made possible through a crowdfunding campaign titled “[1st Anniversary of Opening] Expo Drone Show Special Performance Support Project!!”
The initial target of 10 million yen was reached just two days after the launch.
The support continued to grow, ultimately reaching a total of 29,319,334 yen from 1,870 backers—achieving 293% of the original goal.

At the Momijigawa Grass Square venue, approximately 5,000 people attended, including crowdfunding backers and winners of the organizer’s advance lottery (free of charge).
Furthermore, the “EXPO2025 Futures Festival” received approximately 400,000 applications, with around 30,000 winners selected at a competitive ratio of 14 to 1.
The drone show itself attracted roughly 110,000 applications, garnering an extraordinary level of public attention.
Expanding the expressions in the night sky through the power of support.

Thanks to the support of 1,870 backers, the scope and scale of the performance were significantly expanded for this drone show.
In addition to the depictions of the Grand Roof (Ring) and Myaku-Myaku, we incorporated strobe modules and fireworks-equipped drones, creating a multi-layered light performance.
It was a night where the individual feelings of each person came together, painted into a single, unified vision across the night sky.
Light connecting to the future

This initiative is more than just a recreation of Expo memories; it is a new challenge to reignite the hope and connections felt back then and carry them forward into the future.
This special night was made possible by the immense support and heartfelt contributions gathered through crowdfunding.
Red Cliff would like to express its deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in and supported this project.
We will continue to create unforgettable experiences through innovative expressions in the sky, turning the vast horizon into our stage.
