— REDCLIFF Co-Hosts the Official Partner Program of “DIG SHIBUYA 2025” —
REDCLIFF Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Koumei Sasaki), a company specializing in planning and operating drone shows, will co-host the official partner program of “DIG SHIBUYA 2025,” titled “DIG SHIBUYA DG DRONE SHOW,” together with Digital Garage, Inc. On Saturday, February 8, 2025, after sunset, a breathtaking aerial performance will unfold over the skies of Shibuya (*1), featuring 2,200 drones—the largest drone show ever staged in Japan.
First-Ever Drone Show Above Shibuya with Japan’s Largest Fleet of 2,200 Drones
Since 2021, REDCLIFF has produced drone shows throughout Japan, contributing to regional revitalization. The company has received support through Digital Garage’s accelerator program “Open Network Lab” (25th cohort, 2022) and was certified in the 2nd cohort (2024) of the Shibuya Startup Deck’s “S-Startups” initiative, a public-private startup support program.
The “DIG SHIBUYA DG DRONE SHOW” is not only a monumental entertainment event but also a symbolic result of this public-private collaboration. Co-hosted by the SHIBUYA CREATIVE TECH Executive Committee and Digital Garage, the show will fuse cutting-edge technology and artistic expression into a spectacular nighttime experience.

Featuring 2,200 Drones—Exceeding the 1,824 Used in the Tokyo 2021 Global Sports Event Opening Ceremony.
The show will mobilize 2,200 drones—surpassing the 2,025 drones used in the “REDCLIFF COUNTDOWN DRONE SHOW 2025” (*2)—making it the largest drone show ever held in Japan as of February 4, 2025 (*3).
The performance will begin with visuals inspired by the streets of Shibuya, followed by a powerful depiction of “Bokuryu” (Ink Dragon). The climax will showcase “Pangaea,” a representation of human unity on a grand scale. Beloved characters will also appear, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere in the Shibuya night sky.
The music for the drone show is produced by renowned musician Tetsuya Komuro, music producer Daisuke Hinata, and vocalist Carrie Suzuki. Together, they will deliver a one-of-a-kind audio-visual experience, perfectly synchronized with the drones.
Show Concept: Pangaea
200 million years ago, Earth was one giant landmass. Over time, continents drifted apart. Similarly, we humans have walked separate paths, divided by borders, cultures, and generations.
Shibuya
Shibuya is a place where paths intersect and connections are born—a city where diverse people come together, overflowing with energy to shape the future.
Talent evolves, courage sparks new challenges, and dreams are shared.
“Pangaea – We are one.”
Under this message, the show expresses Shibuya as a city of co-creation.
Executive Show Director Message
Daijin Uruma (Director, Hiroyoshi Uruma Inc.)
“It’s an honor to present a drone show of this scale—2,200 drones, the largest ever in Japan—above the skies of Shibuya. This project goes beyond a mere demonstration of drone technology; it explores new possibilities in the fusion of art and entertainment. In this iconic city of creativity and culture, we hope to deliver an unforgettable experience that exceeds expectations and inspires many.”

Artistic Highlights of the Drone Show
- okuryu (Ink Dragon)
Originally created by Matazo Kayama, a prominent figure in modern Japanese painting known for his distinctive aesthetic and technique. “Bokuryu” is a ceiling mural completed in 1984 for the main hall of Kuonji Temple, the head temple of Nichiren Buddhism in Minobu, Yamanashi Prefecture. - Pangaea
An artwork by Amsterdam-based artist Victoria Kovalenchikova. It conveys the idea that all humanity shares the same planet and that we should live each day with gratitude and respect for Earth’s beauty, no matter the challenges we face. - DiGi8 (Digi-Hachi)
A super digital dog who time-traveled from the future.
In the year 2025, Digi-Hachi—the 28th-generation digital descendant of the faithful dog Hachiko—returns to Shibuya, not only to energize the city but also out of a deep desire to eat yakitori from a street stall. Said to be the reincarnation of the original Hachiko, Digi-Hachi inherited his kindness and loyalty, along with a love for humans and Shibuya. Rumored to have helped launch Japan’s first homepage through time travel, this “PhD pup” is now ready to spark a new movement in Shibuya using futuristic technology.
