The 2024 Oyama Fireworks Festival is one of the largest fireworks festivals in the Kanto area, and has a long history and traditions dating back to 1950! 〜The theme of the 2024 event was “Make History” and the night sky was decorated with a variety of fireworks, including a spectacular starmine, a powerful Niagara waterfall, and a series of shaku-dama (giant balls).
To help visitors feel a moment of coolness, animated motifs such as wind chimes and shaved ice were depicted to evoke memories of summer, while other motifs symbolizing Oyama City, such as the Watarase Yusui Water Park, known as an outdoor breeding ground for the stork, a special natural treasure of Japan, and the Oyama Balloon Festa, floated one after another in the night sky of summer. The Oyama Balloon Festa and other symbolic motifs of Oyama City floated in the summer night sky.
